  • Words cannot describe Chablé Resort and Spa it needs to be experienced for yourself!

    by Amrit K on 2018-01-05 08:33 am

My sister and I have complete admiration for the restoration and adaptation of the old buildings here. The library in particular is a work of art and Paulina Moran the interior designer is an exceptional artist.

The resort becomes more and more mesmerising as you explore it during the different times of the day. Dining in the moonlight under the Parota tree hung with lanterns was perhaps one of our fondest memories. Along with the simple pleasure of cycling through the Mayan forest.

Food in general is exceptional, the staff at Ki'ol were both friendly and attentive, despite us not speaking any Spanish one of the lovely waitresses understood our request to eat breakfast by the pool and brought out a wonderful spread.

A special thank you to executive chef Luis Ronzon who was kind enough to prepare two beautiful meals and take the time out to meet us. Our picnic by the cenote was simply serene, the atmosphere was no short of a scene from a romantic movie.

There is an incredible positive energy to this place which is radiated by all the staff who wear smiles as their uniform.

The Spa was more like concierge for us, prior to our arrival Alejandrina was a star organising bookings and during our stay Carmelina took care of our every need. Being extremely welcoming, understanding and simply gracious.

A sanctuary is the only way to describe the spa, the indoor and outdoor spaces are heavenly. An extremely well thought out treatment offering, this is a genuine place to restore and rejuvenate ones senses.

In our 15 years of travel together, this is first resort we felt compelled to write a review for. Would we go back?... Yes In a heartbeat. The ambience, food, architecture, spa and the sheer kindness of the people is truly overwhelming.

Chabl? Resort and Spa has the potential to be one of the worlds finest resorts with a few minor improvements:

    1. Maintenance of the Casitas - Our room shower temperature kept fluctuating but this got rectified within a day.
    2. Cleanliness of the Casitas - Soft furnishings and upholstery should be spotless and stain free.
    3. Dining - It would be nice if Ixi?im restaurant provided more exciting vegetarian options.

Chabl? is worth learning Spanish for and returning. Gracias por una hermosa estancia. :)

  • Where do I start - this hotel is 1 in a million...

    by Heidi E on 2017-12-08 02:29 am

Just back from a trip to Yucatan, which included a stay at this extraordinary hotel. It is an oasis of calm, situated not far from the beautiful colonial city of Merida.

Firstly, the architecture. It is nothing short of a symphony of old and new - built around an 18th century textile factory, the contemporary glass structural additions to not detract from the ambiance of the old stone buildings. In particular, the restoration of the old Hacienda is a complete triumph and you really feel immersed within its history there. Old, ruined buildings serve a new purpose, as outdoor dining areas to the villas, for example. Nothing has been removed and so homage is truly paid to the past here.

The location is also beautiful. Surrounded by nature and jungle, the property is a sympathetic inclusion. You can tell that the hotel buildings and casitas have been built AROUND nature. Trees grow through walls and ceilings. Fireflies provide a spectacular display on the lawns each evening and colourful birds and butterflies prevail.

We stayed in the 3 bedroomed Presidential villa, which was nothing short of jaw-dropping. It's offers complete privacy and a gorgeous, spacious setting for a family get-together.

Of course, Chable is first and foremost a wellness retreat. I enjoyed a 90 minute massage and there was a full wellness activity programme, including yoga by the cenote, which is a very special experience.n The food was outstanding; I am a vegetarian and found their menus to be uncompromisingly good. And the staff were super efficient and attentive also.

I would highly recommend the experience of staying at Chable. I was blown away. I am quite sure this hotel will get 5* from anyone who stays. It is something quite unlike any other hotel I have ever stayed at.

  • Heaven in the middle of the Yucatán

    by John N on 2017-11-19 02:44 pm

Everything, and I mean everything has exceeded our expectations. The casitas with their own pools are the best I have stayed in - anywhere in the world. The spa - the views from the massage rooms -unbelievable. Hidden gem - a cenote! Food too notch. Service - its like we are the only ones here. We will be back!

  • Amazing

by Susyabbo on 2017-11-19 11:14 am

What a gem! This property is perfect in every sense. Architecture, landscape, lighting, service, food, spa... all exceded our expectations.
The grounds are perfectly maintained combining the classic original hacienda with the modern casitas in a seamless and elegant style.
Spa is gorgeous and services were wonderful.
The casitas are extremely well appointed with their private Pool surrounded by lush landscape and luxurious bathrooms with outside showers and the most beautiful natural light.
Restaurants are both excellent with very unique locally inspired and exquisitely presented food.
Very attentive staff and management add to experience.
    Hope to return soon!

  • A truly amazing place of exceptional beauty to relax & enjoy life...

    by Minja Y on 2017-11-06 09:01 pm

Away from the noisy beaches of the Yucatan, Chabl? Resort is set in the midst of a large natural park, where lush vegetation surrounds every individual unit composed of a large bedroom with sitting area and a fabulous shower area. Each unit has its own pool/bassin with heated water to relax anytime during the day or for a romantic midnight bath. The site of Chabl?, formerly a cottage industry producing hemp textiles, has preserved the remnants of small industrial structures and an old hacienda to build the new hotel facilities in respect of the site's built and natural heritage. In this regard, Chabl? Resort merits the international award for commercial architecture they won in 2017.

The food is refined, delicious and each dish is a visual delight. Its Tequila collection of some 3000 unique bottles is really worth visiting.

The gym and spa building is also beautiful with various different offers of a massage to melt away the pains from visiting the numerous Mayan sites accessible from Chabl?.

Yes, the cost is indeed outrageous but there are special offers which makes it << affordable >>. A memory to last a lifetime is worth the bill!
