  • DO NOT STAY HERE

    No longer a Hilton and barely a hotel.
    Ownership changed, so if you want to get ripped off, stay here and pay extra charges that aren't on your Hilton bill.

    And to top it off, when we entered our room, one of the hotel staff was comfortably sitting and watching TV. And took her time to leave.

    The hotel said, hmmm.

  • Solid choice

    We were very happy with the location and value from this Hilton. Rooms are on the small side, but that has been my experience everywhere I've stayed in NYC. Location is convenient and safe. The housekeeping did forget to replace some items and there's no fridge or microwave for leftovers, but overall it's a pleasant stay.

  • Convenient hotel for business travel

    I stayed three nights at the Hilton New York Grand Central while in the city for work. This hotel was comfortable, well located in Midtown, and had everything the business traveler needs.

    Check in at the Hilton was fast and easy. My room was large for NYC, and had an unexpectedly nice view over a quiet, treelined street. The room was very clean, and while it didn't feature the most modern decor, it didn't seem old or tired. The bed was really comfortable and there was no street noise to speak of. Wifi was complimentary and worked well throughout my stay on multiple devices. Air conditioning and heat both worked nicely, which was great when the weather changed dramatically in the middle of my stay.

    Downstairs, there's a cafe and bar that seems to be open in the morning and evening, but closes for a little while mid-day. They offer a wide range of food, from fresh salads and sandwiches to candy bars and snacks. There's plenty of table space outside the cafe to sit with colleagues, and a printer if you need to print something. Hotel staff were very polite and eager to assist with any requests.

    I had a very comfortable stay at the Hilton and would happily stay here again when in NYC.

  • Tiny, noisy, excellent location

    The rooms are tiny and ours, 1714, had a huge column interrupting the room. The view was nice and we had three windows.

    The A/C kept clunking every 20-30 minutes ALL night long!

    The location is excellent, right next to Tudor City on 42nd street. It's only a short walk to the subway or the Empire State Building or the UN.

    We stayed here due to the location. It was a so-so price for the accommodations. The
