  • Beautiful location

    by Craig T on 2018-06-17 00:16 am

I had a 4 night stay with friends in this lovely hotel situated in a picture postcard location in the Italian mountains. The service was fantastic, especially the female waitress (I forget her name). Apart from breakfast, which is great, we didn't eat at the hotel but there are some fantastic restaurants located in the area. We also had some interesting day trips in the car (a must if you're visiting this area).
I had to change my room after one night as there was a noisy child in the room opposite, but I was given an upgrade for my remaining nights - thanks!

  • Bellissimo!

    by Ralph M on 2018-06-15 07:06 am

This was our first time visiting Asolo, a small town in the Veneto-Friuli region, in the lower foothills of the Dolomites, and roughly an hour and a half from Venice. We chose Asolo due to its close proximity to the beginning (or end) of the prosecco road, which runs between Valdobbiadene and Conegliano. We had a choice of a few hotels in and around Asolo, but we weren't initially sure where to stay until I read about the Hotel Villa Cipriani. This is a 5-star hotel - which was once the home of poet Robert Browning and his wife, Elizabeth - in every way. We stayed here in late June 2017.

To begin, the setting could not be more idyllic. Not to be outdone by the natural hilly terrain and winding roads, past and present owners upped the romance factor by surrounding the hotel in gorgeous flowering gardens and pomegranate trees - and then added a wonderful outdoor pool overlooking the valley below - which I swear, you can see Venice. You can't, of course, but the view is terrific.

Then, there are the rooms. They are beautifully decorated, bright, and spotless. There are 2 rooms with private outdoor terraces, and getting one of these is a must. Relaxing on the lounge chairs after a day of touring, sipping prosecco, and taking in the amazing scenery is a perfect prelude to an evening out, whether it's dining at the hotel or somewhere close by. And speaking of food - although we only ate our breakfasts here - everything was fresh and tasty, with enough variety to get your day off to a great start. Dining on the terrace in the glorious sunshine overlooking the valley beyond just made it that much more enjoyable.

And finally - I've left the best for last - the staff. They were warm, friendly, and attentive, right from the moment we arrived to when we were leaving. We never felt like guests, but instead, like old friends returning after some time apart. Kudos to the owners, managers, and all the other individuals that made our stay here such a genuine pleasure. We cannot wait to come back. Bellissimo!

  • Paradise in the hills of Italy

    by PSULions89 on 2018-06-02 05:52 pm

Nestled in the hills of Asolo, this villa is truly an Italian gem. Walking distance to town center, attractions, restaurants, shoppes and cafes. The hotel, rooms and grounds were exceptional. The views from our room, we chose the grand deluxe suite with large corner terrace, were amazing. If mornings and afternoons spent lazily taking in the views from a sun drenched terrace or dining al fresco are of interest to you, I highly recommend this room. Don't forget your glass of wine or local prosecco from the Veneto region.

Service from check-in through check-out was 5-star. All staff were very accommodating and welcoming. Any request was quickly and professionaly addressed with a smile. The concierge assisted with all plans including dining, tours, transportation and Venice reservations.

Dining and cocktail service was top notch. Breakfast, lunch or cocktails in the garden is a must. The garden and associated views are reflective of a picture book or movie. Sitting in the garden listening to the birds and taking in the sun was both meditative and energizing. The pool and lower grounds also amazing.

This Italian gem is perfect for a special celebration with you husband/wife or another couple or two. Certainly now one of our favorite spots visited, not only in Europe/Italy but across the globe. Thank you to the staff for an unforgettable experience. We will be back!

The best place in Asolo, excellent service and spectacular setting and views. Great Spa and fantastic pool surrounded by a delightful Palazzo! Very clean, own parking, very attentive and friendly staff. Quite and sofisticated!

  • Ruined retreat.

    by Kevin C on 2018-05-13 01:48 pm

We have stayed at this exquisite hotel before and returned for what was expected to be a much needed weekend of peace in the idyllic setting of Asolo. Instead, both days of our expensive weekend were dominated by non-resident wedding receptions with inescapable loud disco music late into the night. Unforgiveable. Never again.

    Owner Response
    Dear Mr Kevin C,
I am sorry for what happened during your last stay with us.
Quiet and silence are our strength and we are proud of them.
Occasionally we host some restricted and very selected events in our Villa, but always with some rules to respect.
I do apologize if the music played for one hour at the end of the party (until 11:00pm) annoyed you.
We guarantee you that the nice memories you keep from your former stays with us will be granted in the future and we look forward to having you back to your beloved Italian spot.
    Best Regards
    Azzurra Franci
