  • Food is excellent - bedroom good !

Visit in march for a business trip during almost a week.
First the food is excellent. Mostly fish, fresh from the day.
Also the big plate of sea food is to be order for a diner. It is very tasty !

A little bit disappointed by the room. They are away from the restaurant in the village.
So you jave to get out for breakfast, which is not quite pleasant when it's raining or snowing. Also be careful of the icy road on morning

For the conference, it is the same. Most of the conference rooms are in the village.

But it is a very typical place in norway and the owner is very kind and really try to make your stay the best !

  • Very good hotel, loved the harbour and the village

This place is quite remote but all worth the trip. You drive on windy roads for miles, with stunning views. Then you arrive in Kalvag and everything is beautiful and you don't want to leave. The hotel itself: we were in the new building on the harbour, spacious room with a deck and a wonderful shower room.
We were in Kalvag when the Crab festival was taking place, we had a great time.
A bit off the beaten track but worthwhile visiting for a few days

  • Hidden gem off the beaten track - worth a visit!

Idyllic and peaceful, this little town on the westernmost island of Norway is a real gem. Quiet, peaceful old fishing village turned into a hotel. Food is fresh and tasty.
Worth a visit to experience the 'real Norway'

  • Must see! And must taste.

Kalv?g itself is a large living hotel. Do you enjoy a good atmosphere, good food and coastal culture? If so, you will enjoy Knutholmen and the fishing village of Kalv?g. Within walking distance around the small bay, you will come across fishing huts, a restaurant with a dance floor, hotel rooms and teaching rooms. As a speciality, they serve food straight from the sea.
We travel up there with our boat from Bergen, they have the best seafood ever. :-)

  • What a place

We have been in Kalv?g at Knutholmen six years in a row and that says it all. The Fosse family who runs Knutholmen does the utmost to make the guests feel welcome. Kalv?g itself is a tiny fishing village where not much happens and that is the great thing about it as you can slow down and relax completely. Or get a boat and go fishing. Sit with a Knutholmer and watch boats come and go. There's not many places to eat, only Knutholmen actually. Fear not, the kitchen is run by the daughter of the family who has been on the Norwegian junior national team for chefs. The food is very good and main focus on seafood and other local produce. You can rent rooms or apartments, there are many options. In the vicinity? Don't hesitate, make a detour. Fantastic place.
