  • Lovely modern hotel in great location

by Katshop on 2018-04-17 01:04 pm

Stayed for 4 nights in a family room with our 11 yr old daughter. Perfect grand canal location right next to S. Angelo water bus stop, with an easy walk to all San Marco tourist attractions. Room was very clean and modern, with luxury touches of robes and slippers. It was spacious with a huge comfy sofa bed for my daughter. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Alessia who we met at breakfast.
Would definitely recommend arriving in style via a water taxi that pulls right up to the private hotel dock.

  • Perfect located very nice hotel

This hotel lies directly at the famous Canale Grande beside the Vaporetto station S. Angelo and has a own dock to arrive with private water taxi. If you enter the hotel you will find a modern and elegant reception which has an wonderful view to the Canale Grande out of the entrance door. The reception team very nice and attentive all the time. We booked a Superior room which was very clean with a pleasant smell, but in my opinion a bit small. The bathroom with shower ( rain shower ). The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was very tasty every day. Coffee was served fresh directly to the table. The buffet with nice selections of food both cold and hot and a big variety of pastries too. If you wanted they make you a special egg dish in the kitchen. We had a really special personal and wonderful service by Alessia. Thank you very much you are a real pearl.
Finally I will come to the only negative point. This is the other side of the coin with the perfect located hotel at the Canale Grande. We had the room number 11 which is directly on the ground floor at the small alley which leads you not only to the hotel, but also to the Vaporetto station S.Angelo and that means it is very busy and noisy in front of your window. From room number 12 you will hear all sounds of the bathroom because this is built to the wall of number 11. I always would return to this hotel, but no more in room number 11 or 12. That is reason why I give no 5 point rating.

  • Pleasant Experience

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect, close to the major tourist attractions. Rooms were clean, with cleaning team always leaving chocolate gifts after they are done with the room. Breakfast buffet was very good, with very helpful waitresses.

  • Lovely hotel, good location

Really would recommend, lovely room and position on the grand canal - only slight irritation was the service at breakfast, arrived early on second day so not as busy but still struggled to get coffeee and eggs. Very comfortable rooms. Not sure it's for children. Travelled with grown up family.

  • Stunning and Convenient

This hotel was absolutely wonderful. We had a fabulous experience here and would recommend it to anyone who wants a touch of sophistication and elegance while staying in Venice.

On arrival we were dropped off by our water taxi at the hotels own dock on the Grand Canal meaning it was a simple case of stepping off the wharf and into reception without the need to navigate the sometimes daunting maze of venice walkways as soon as we arrived. We were greeted by the concierge as it was quite busy and offered a comfy seat to wait until we could check in. We were offered drinks and check in was handled in comfort while we sat with our drink in the beautiful reception with a view out over the Grand Canal. We were told our room wasn't quite ready, which as we were 3 hours early we fully understood, but the hotel took our luggage and upon our return later we found they had upgraded our room to a superior room and our luggage was up there waiting for us with a welcome note and some welcome chocolates.

The Room was stunning and very very clean. The bathroom had a full bath, which in Venice can be hard find, and his and hers sinks!! All done in beautiful clean stone/marble. The bed was MASSIVE and very comfy. We were blown away.

The whole hotel was decorated in a modern elegant style and we felt completely welcome at all times.

Breakfast was very tasty every day and tea or coffee was served fresh to us promptly at our table each morning with the option to have juice or water at the self serve buffet too. There was a nice selection of food both cold and hot and a nice choice of pastries too.

While we were here I had one of the most special nights of my life when my parter proposed to me and this was assisted by the hotel who gave us an excellent reccomendation for dinner and made our reservations for us.

The location of the hotel is central so walking to both the Rialto or St Mark's is pretty easy or you can get a weekly pass on the Vaporetto which stops right outside the hotel (St Angelo stop)and gives you water bus links to anywhere you want to explore.

All in all we loved staying at this hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone coming to Venice.
