Dining

From fine dining at the 3 AA Rosettes-rated Road Hole Restaurant, to award-winning afternoon tea, to casual pub fare, the restaurants at the Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa combine stunning views with the best of Scottish produce, steaks, seafood, and beers.

Road Hole Restaurant
The Road Hole Restaurant is an intimate dining experience, using the very best of local Scottish and organic produce, seafood, fish, and steaks. The meal is complemented by an extensive wine list. The 3 AA Rosettes restaurant offers beautiful panoramic views over the Old Course, St. Andrews, and the sea.

Road Hole Bar
Whisky aficionados around the globe flock to the Road Hole Bar to sample more than 300 whiskies, representing every operational and many mothballed distilleries in Scotland. Some notable whiskies include a Tullibardine (the hotel's own label malt); Highland Malt 1988, which is only sold in the top 10 percent of bars in the UK; and a rare Ben Wyvis Highland Malt 1972. The bar also has an excellent range of cocktails, champagnes, and wines. The daytime menu ensures the Road Hole Bar is the most coveted viewing gallery in the world of golf.

Sands Grill
A casual, yet quality dining experience, Sands Grill specializes in seafood and steak. Inspired by a traditional grill house, it promotes Scotland’s finest seasonal ingredients with a twist of international flavors, serving the freshest locally caught seafood from Anstruther to Crail and the finest Black Isle beef. This family-friendly, relaxed bistro features a seasonally changing menu and a separate children's menu.

Afternoon Tea
Experience an award-winning afternoon tea with a delicious selection of delicate pastries and cakes, created by the hotel’s Pastry Chef. Afternoon tea is served in the stunning Conservatory, right along the 17th Hole of the Old Course, and includes such delectable delights as homemade scones, lemon pancakes with clotted cream, and strawberry and pink Champagne preserve.

Jigger Inn
This historic building dates back to the 1850s, when it was the stationmaster’s lodge, and the history and heritage live on. Today, the Jigger Inn is home to golfing memorabilia, crackling open-hearth fires, home-cooked food, and a superb selection of Scottish beers.

The Belhaven Brewery was charged by Herbert V. Kohler, owner of the Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa and the Jigger Inn, with the task of creating a brew in the style of a classic Scottish Ale that would be as unique as the Jigger Inn itself. The pub’s own Jigger Ale is available only at the Jigger Inn, St. Andrews, and at the Horse & Plow at Forbes Five Star-awarded the American Club in Kohler, Wisconsin, USA.

Hams Hame Pub & Grill
Opened in 2013, Hams Hame is a fabulous venue offering outstanding Scottish cuisine that showcases the best ingredients, seafood landed on the harbors of the East Neuk's fishing villages, carefully selected pork, beef and poultry reared by award-winning producers across Scotland, as well as seasonal fruits and vegetables chosen for their flavor from farms, some of which overlook St. Andrews.

The Duke's Clubhouse
A popular and relaxed dining venue with views of St. Andrews and beyond, the award-winning Duke’s Bar & Grill offers a hearty selection of traditional food. Tune in to the post-golfing analysis over a pint of beer, or head onto the deck and catch a few rays of sun.
