This is the second time I've stayed at the Pulitzer. Obviously I like the Pulitzer. I like it because it's clean, comfortable rooms, and the location is familiar to me. I was booked for a tour late in the day at the Anne Frank House and the Pulitzer is a 10 minute walk from there. Also because it's near the Anne Frank House it's a great point of reference if you get lost and you need directions.

Stayed at the Pulitzer in early December for one night and it was an absolute treat! The hotel is beautiful, the staff were great, rooms immaculate, breakfast was incredible. I can't rate this place highly enough!

  • The best of the best

by jessicannveronica on 2018-12-03 010:54 pm

We have never experienced better service at a hotel. If you want to be close to everything, in the glamorous 9 little streets area, stay in true comfort, meet the nicest people ever, and be immersed in opulent, interesting design elements, look no further. Absolutely gorgeous and luxurious. Also, the best shower I've ever taken in my life and I've traveled quite a bit. They have a famous cocktail bar and delightful restaurant onsite. Do not miss a spin around the canals in the hotel boat! They do group tours and private tours. The captain is kind, knowledgeable, and a total class act. The boat itself even has a really interesting history. There is no better way to see Amsterdam than by boat! Also, a special thanks to Sven at the concierge who snagged reservations at top restaurants for us, alerted the head of staff that it was our honeymoon which resulted in them sending beautiful champagne to our room upon arrival, a free room upgrade, and even sent us a congratulatory note on the day of our wedding. Class and deep attention to detail abounds here! This place offers so much more than a typical stuffy 5 star hotel! We will always stay here when visiting Amsterdam.

  • Fabulous Hotel

    by jimbos878 on 2018-12-02 01:18 am

I recently stayed at The Pulitzer Amsterdam to celebrate my partner's birthday. What an absolutely fabulous hotel!

I had mentioned in an email to the hotel enquiring about the possibility of a canal/river taxi to the hotel (sadly there isn't one) that it was my partner's birthday, hence the trip. To my great surprise, on our arrival at the room, they had provided balloons, chocolate torte, a card and a bottle of champagne on the house! What a lovely touch and very special service.

The staff throughout were outstanding and couldn't do enough to help us. The place is spotlessly clean and being set across several old canal houses, is quirky yet modern. The location of the hotel, near '9 Streets', means you are in one of the more picturesque canalside locations, away from the hustle, but still just a 5 minute stroll from Dam Square.

    I will definitely be returning!

  • Busy but charming hotel

by AileeLongnoUK on 2018-11-30 05:20 am

Lots of character and great location. Breakfast is spectacular and the hotel boat makes a great trip. We found the concierge very helpful indeed and gave the best restaurant advice. The hotel bar/cafe is good but gets very busy
