  • Wished we had more time!

by diverUsa on 2020-01-31 05:55 pm

We picked this hotel as a good altitude adjuster after landing in Cuzco. We wish we would have stayed here longer! Two nights here, in a great room overlooking the garden. Friendly alpacas galore, as well as birds, peacocks and koi. Our kiddo had a blast here!

  • Excellent Hotel Manager

    by Anne W on 2020-01-29 06:08 pm

This has to have the most amazing hotel manager I have come across in the world. No exaggeration! Aranwa hotel is difficult to rate because it has many different types of rooms.

We were late to change our hotel to this one, from the Belmond in Cusco, as we were worried about the altitude. We had a cheap room for under $200 a night and it was good for the price. There are rooms for approximately $800 a night and if we paid that I wouldn't have been impressed.

The food in the restaurant is very nice. Some may think it has a little to much sugar in certain foods. The grounds are large, though during our stay there was a lot of noise from the near by town. (New Years time).

Apparently the rooms aren't air-conditioned during this time, so it can get warm in the room. We left a day early because of small issues. We were happy to forfeit the night stay. However, the hotel manager came and said they would reimburse the night, which was very nice. They were very good at trying to find us a quiet room, however this wasn't possible.

The breakfast is okay, the egg station is the best. It's got more of a YMCA feeling to the eating area and the other areas.

There are some great stores to purchase Peruvian items. It's a great spot to get to various things to do.

    Dear Anne,
Thank you very much for sharing your experience on Trip Advisor regarding your recent time with us at Aranwa Sacred Valley Hotel & Wellness.
I am sorry that your stay was not overall pleasant due to the festivities on the nearby town and the lack of air conditioning in the rooms. Definitely this last item is something we be working on this year.
Glad to know despite all this, you still enjoyed the grounds and facilities of the hotel as well as the food at the restaurante.
Hope you had an amazing time on the rest of your trip in Peru, and maybe give us another opportunity on the future.
    Kind regards,

  • Brief stay in the Sacred Valley

    by Dreamer830096 on 2020-01-13 11:32 am

My wife and I visited recently with our two teenagers before we headed to Machu Picchu. It was a very relaxing stay and our only regret is not being able to take more advantage of some of the great amenities, including the spa. We did a four wheeler excursion nearby, which was incredible.

The food and accommodations were great and we would love to visit again.
