  • Overnight at Las Casas

by ShemDC on 2020-03-20 09:14 am

Our family of 8 stayed overnight at Las Casas.
Rooms - we stayed at adjoining loft rooms. It was spacious and clean, with all the basic necessities. It was a comfortable stay.

Resort - the resort was huge. We enjoyed walking around after dinner.

Food - we only had the buffet breakfast. There were quite a spread, vegetarian selection is also available

Walking tour - join the first or the last walking tour because it can get hot. Although there are descriptions on the houses. you'll feel a greater appreciation of the place by joining the tour. Wear easy-to-remove footwear as some houses would require you to go barefoot. Bring umbrella.

Staff - very friendly and superb service.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. We wish we could have stayed a little bit longer.

  • The Perfect Marriage of Holiday and Heritage

    by Jaime A on 2020-03-20 02:23 am

Last December, courtesy of a very generous aunt, my entire extended family and I were treated to a delightful New Year's Eve vacation at Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar, a beautiful, relatively recent resort which combines modern amenities with heritage houses, all at a wonderful seaside location.

If there's one thing I like almost as much as going on holiday it's enjoying heritage sites like Intramuros or Vigan. This place takes these two wonderful concepts and deftly blends them in a one-of-a-kind vacation experience a few hours north of Metro Manila.

The house in which we stayed was glorious, with several sumptuously-appointed rooms, an atrium, its own small swimming pool and strong wifi.

The common areas have been meticulously manicured. With heritage houses that have either been transported brick-by-brick from their original locations elsehwere in the Philippines or reconstructed based on pictures and plans, the resort is a truly extraordinary experience.

The beachfront property was well-chosen as well.

It's not quite perfect; the food they serve, which consists of traditional Filipino fare, is not terribly imaginative. Also, what appears to be a sewage treatment area located near the center of the compound emits a strong odor. I'm not quite sure what to do about that, but if it's possible it should be addressed.

This place is glorious; when this COVID19 business is over (and one day, it will be), I highly recommend it to people looking to plan their holidays.

    Dear Jaime A,

    Salud Buena vida-Mabuhay!

It's grateful to hear you appreciate our work and the resort and for recommending it! The area you were pertaining to was already addressed. You may want to try La Bella Teodora or Cafe Marivent for another range of delectable taste on your next visit!
We look forward to seeing you again!

  • Room setup

    by 0_maynard_0 on 2020-03-17 02:58 pm

With the hotel rate, I was expecting quality service/amenities. The bathroom was not stocked, only had 2 bath towels. No bath mat, wash cloth, and hand towels. There were dust bunnies under the bed. Wine and cheese setup: wine cap was oxidized (rusted), no bottle opener, and cheeses looks like it was prepared a day prior.

  • Philippines 2020

    by ed M on 2020-03-12 06:25 am

Place not to be missed while visiting Bataan. Beautiful surroundings and relocated historic houses disassembled from certain areas in the Philippines and assembled here is a sight to remember. Very friendly and helpful staff.
