    Hotel is in a great location for shopping ,theater,and dining. Well maintained and the rooms are well appointed and nice sized. Staff is very helpful. Transportation and access to subway and buses is also a positive.

  • Amazing Stay & Amazing Person

    Krystle Neives is the reason why my wife and I keep coming back to OMNI Berkshire Place. The room was amazing and Krystle made our stay even more memorable. This is the only place I look to stay when we come into Manhattan and Krystle is the reason why. Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness.

  • Thought it would be better

    Room was spacious but it was the Madison Suite so it should be. You pay a lot of money for nothing special. Housekeeping was great and so were all the doormen but that is where it ends. Rooms are outdated and again for the price should be much nicer.

  • The Good, the Bad and the Average

    Let's start with the good in this hotel. The rooms are spacious by NYC standards and the bed is an absolute winner. As extensive travellers we sleep in lots of beds but this was outstanding. Great rooms are definitely a great start. The concierge desk was well staffed and super helpful. Thank you Mary in particular. The doormen always had a friendly few words too. It's a shame these guys couldn't pass on their customer service skills to the frosty front desk. We received a cold to lukewarm reception from Patricia whose personality and charm matched the subzero temperatures outside. Yours was the first impression, my dear and it was poor. She muttered something about additional fees but not what these were...I'm still trying to work these out. We are Omni benefit holders (which the hotel should have known as I did advise of this pre-arrival) but there was no mention made of what these benefits might be. I compare to almost any other hotel which will say "ah, I see you are xxx, let me tell you what this means for you during your stay".
    With no Nespresso machine (I get that, it's a 4 star so not a must), we laughed out loud at the surcharges had we wanted to order a cup of coffee with room service...I wished I'd taken a photo but if my memory serves me correctly ...cup of coffee 7 USD (fine) but for anything over 5 USD (there is absolutely nothing listed), an 18% service charge plus a 5 USD "in room dining experience fee" (LOL) is charged. This is hilarious at best and downright outrageous at worst. Again we travel all over the world and we are anything but cheapskates but I've yet to have seen anything quite so in your face obnoxious. What a shame.
    So upon reflection the good was good, the bad was appalling and actually there was little average in between. I may have to revise the title of this review ?

  • Our home away from home in NYC

    I started staying at the Omni Berkshire for convenience when my corporate headquarters moved to within a couple of blocks, but our experience with the hotel has made it our go-to hotel choice whenever we visit New York City, for work or pleasure. The staff is top-notch--always helpful, knowledgeable and accomodating. The location is ideal--a quick walk to anywhere in midtown (Central Park, Times Square/Theater District, Bryant Park, Grand Central Station, etc.) with lots of good restaurants nearby. We love being close enough to everything that we can easily walk but also just far enough away from crowded tourist areas. Not only have we never had a bad experience, we've always had great experiences here and the Omni Berkshire is highlight in our trips--everything about the hotel feels like a frictionless experience and we always look forward to our trips to the city in part because the hotel aspect is so pleasant and enjoyable.
