  • Luxury Hotel with Impeccable Service & Attention to Detail

    My husband and I stayed at Christmas 2017 with our small dog, so this review is overdue to say the least. But I was reminded to write because we just visited the Sense Spa over the weekend and I wanted to comment on how fabulous it was.
    First, the Rosewood London is dog-friendly. Completely dog-friendly. You can take your dog to afternoon tea in the Mirror Room and take your dog to the Brasserie for lunch or dinner. You can sit in the reception/lobby area with your dog or outside in the courtyard pop up. The hotel staff is warm, welcoming, friendly, attentive. Upon arrival we did choose to upgrade to a large suite which had separate living and sleeping areas. In terms of pricing- it's a splurge to stay in a suite but if you're already considering 5 star London hotels, price doesn't bother you, right?
    Because it was Christmas my husband had taken gifts to the hotel prior to our arrival and borrowed a room to wrap them! The entire staff was accommodating and helpful in this endeavor.

    March 2019- Our visit to Sense Spa was absolutely lovely. We had the exclusive use of the couple's suite for a couple's massage followed by pedicures for each of us. We never had to leave the suite! There was a steam shower and bathroom facilities, full amenities, robes, slippers, etc. A surprise tray of delectable fruit was set for us as well. Both treatments were outstanding. I highly recommend this spa as an escape from the city. One thing to note is that you can hear the tube line running below the hotel in the spa couple's suite. It's a very low rumble and not a problem.

    I stayed in a small flat near the Rosewood about a year ago and while walking by, was struck by the perfectly manicured Topiary and beautiful lighting. What a majestic hotel, which deserves its five star rating. The rooms are light filled and enormous. Everything is new and carefully thought out. Lots of plugs in the rooms, spacious and luxurious bathrooms, and a firm but inviting bed. Perhaps my new favorite in London. Easy access to the London Tube and on the Piccadilly line from Heathrow. No need for a cab! British Museum around the corner and Charles Dickens home nearby.

  • Service lacking and poor communication

    When you receive an email twice before arrival asking specific requirements to make your stay more comfortable you get a first good impression.Although first time to Rosewood London not my first experience of Rosewood globally.
    Upon check in I started to get the feeling there were some serious gaps in communication and efficiency of employees.
    It took 4 team members to check me apologized as she said she was new the other 3 looked at the system somewhat confused! Specifically before arrival I had emailed to say that my oversees Credit card would not be used for the stay and I would be using my UK credit card.I had a response stating this had been updated.Upon check in I relayed this again and provided my UK credit card asking to pay now for the stay in full and any additional chargers would be paid by cash thru my stay.This was acknowledged.Shortly afterwards my overseas credit card was charged 405 pounds.This was the start of numerous issues I encountered during my personal visit to Rosewood London-
    _my first room on the 7th Floor had low ceilings was cold and paint work was marked.I was provided a different room.
    _ 3 calls to get an ironing board that was requested as part of the pre arrival form..additional hangers again follow up calls were required.
    _ bathroom in 534 very small in this is a luxury category room.
    _No amenities as requested again had to follow up to get my request.
    _Breakfast found the food bland and over priced.
    _ Dinner service slow at 5pm-communication with staff members poor needed to repeat myself.
    _drinks over priced 25 pounds for a gin and tonic.
    _Door men never opened the doors for you even when you had bags..however did always sat welcome back.

    I was provided with an adjustment to the bill however this didn't amend the frustrations I encountered.I was looking forward to my 4 day stay in London as I always do...however my experience does not reflect true English Hospatilty.For we London has great selections of 5 star properties which I have enjoyed over a similar period before and these will be my choice going forward.Sorry Rosewood have too many Gaps!!

    We have found our ""must go to"" hotel in London, from the minute you walk through the main doors you know its going to a wonderful experience. Meal in the Mirror Room for a private function was just fabulous. The Hotel is centrally located to everything in London. Breakfast was worth every penny.

  • A wonderfully elegant hotel with good beds and excellent and professional staff

    The Rosewood is a rarity. Incredibly elegant and comfortable with well trained and thoughtful staff
    Prices are high for incidentals such as afternoon tea and fruitjuices from the mini bar in the room. Having said that the selection was startlingly wide.
