  • Exceptional accomidations and experience

    Cannot carry on enough about the location, employees, accomidations, and restaurant. The rooms are a good size (not the typical NY hotel) and well appointed. The resturant is accessible via the lobby and food/drink beyond expectation. This is becoming my second home.

  • Our new home in Manhattan

    Wonderful old building just two blocks away from Grand Central Station. Beautiful renovated rooms. Amazing sleeping quality. Clean rooms - great job housekeeping! Friendly staff gives you a warm welcome. This hotel has also a nice restaurant. Breakfast is delicious and portions not only taste good, they look good. We fell in love with this place. Hope to come back soon.

  • Not up to Hilton Standards

    We stayed for 5 nights from the 4th December, we booked a king room on a high floor. Check in was quick and we were allocated room 1111 on the 11th floor. As soon as we walked into the room, we noticed how cold it was, we found the heating very temperamental and difficult to control, it was also very loud. The bed had 2 sheets on it with a thin blanket in between, we did ask for a duvet but it never came. There is not much storage space, but there is a fridge which was handy. We found the street noise to be loud even on the 11th floor, the windows are definitely not sound proofed. We had an issue every day with the incorrect amount of towels supplied, there was always something missing, which shouldn't be too hard, 2 flannels, 2 hand towels, 2 bath towels and a floor towel (they were also quite small), we had to call for replacements which always took quite a while. The bath also filled up during each shower, there was obviously an issue with the drainage. There is a $35 plus tax urban fee which luckily we were not subjected to as we booked before they implemented it, this seems to be a con just to get people into their bar/restaurant that would otherwise go pretty unused (we did not use either). The location is really good, a 2 minute walk to grand central where you can get on the subway very easily, there is a Starbucks and Pret at either end of the street also. This hotel did not live up to the Hilton standards in our opinion and we were disappointed with our stay overall.

  • Weekend Trip at the Renwick

    My family stayed at the Renwick for three nights in Feb 2020. For the duration of the stay, one of the two small elevators was out of order resulting in extremely long waits for the one working elevator. Many people were waiting more than 20 minutes as the elevator would often arrive already full since it only held about 5-6 people. We often took the stairs for expedience but his grew tiresome with kids and luggage. No apology, notice, or timeframe for repair was given. The only indication given was the out of order sign on the elevator. Other minor issues include one rude front desk individual (other staff was pleasant) and for two of the three nights, housekeeping took our towels but did not replace with clean ones meaning we had to call and request more. However, the rooms were nice and spacious for NYC. But due to the issues noted, we would not recommend the hotel to others.

  • Horrible housekeeping and Missing wedding band - not even the courtesy of a callback

    I've been staying here on and off monthly for over 6 months since it's a preferred hotel for my company and I travel into the city monthly for work. This last day was by far the worst. Even though I'm a silver honors member, I did not get water in my room any day during my 4 night stay. Moreover, you get charged a $35 urban fee that's supposed to include 1 piece of laundry service per day yet housekeeping never left laundry bags and forms even after repeatedly having to go to reception to ask for them and being told they would remind housekeeping they had to leave them.

    Then the worst part part was checking out on Thursday and having left one of my dainty wedding bands in the room as I left in a hurry. I've called over 12 times and even left messages for housekeeping, lost and found, security and someone by the name of Brian who is in operations and not even the common courtesy of receiving a callback. So that just added to the horrible feeling of losing an item of such sentimental value.

    I'm supposed to be back in a month but will be switching to another property in our company preferred list as this one obviously doesn't care about its guests. I hope whoever cashed in on my ring can sleep well at night knowing that they took something from someone symbolic of over 15 years of marriage.

    Also reported to Hilton corporate and my company to avoid having other people from our company endure the same lack of respect and customer service.
