    The entire hotel is in need of a renovation. The sleeping rooms would have been tolerable for one person on business but was not comfortable for a couple and leisure travel. Our group all upgraded to the executive level except one person and he's the one who received extra amenities. The lounge leaves much to be desired- cramped, not controlled, and no room to sit/work like in other Hilton's.

    Thank you for your feedback on Trip Advisor. You are well heard. While the great majority of our guests love the Seelbach, we do realize a thorough renovation is needed. New ownership and management have been planning such a renovation since late 2017- we are due to start next spring.

    I am sorry you did not thoroughly enjoy yourself. I hope you will consider staying with us again, we'd love to have you back.

  • Bed Bugs

    I visited the hotel October 4-7 and it started out promising. The rooms were a little dated, but I guess that was to keep up with the historic theme. The location was great, being next to 4th St. Live and near great places to eat. Nevertheless, the second morning I woke up with bites all over my body. My peer had pictures of bugs in their room. I know what bed bug bites look like, but they assured us it wasn't bugs. Nothing was done about it.

  • Great location!

    Great location, very beautiful hotel.excellent service. Smaller individual room but comfy. Choice of pillows, so I slept well. Smaller bathroom, had to step up due to bathroom to age of hotel (pipes must have been added at later date) still adequate for my needs.Close to shops and restaurants.

  • What an amazing place!

    We had such a great experience here. It's like a museum but extremely comfortable. We were within walking distance of restaurants and stores. The hotel alone is worth the stay. We will be coming back.

  • good location, interesting history but Older hotel, small poky rooms,

    Hotel room sneds modernization. They are really small. Bathrooms aging. Found some staff friendliness service and quality issue. I booked because of shuttle service, but shuttle service hours and schedules unknown to staff. Location is very interesting. But would on the whole prefer a more modern hotel with better room layout

We are in the final planning stages of a major renovation of the property to begin in the next 12 months. We knew the hotel needed work when the management company took possession, it just takes some time. I hope you will give us another chance in the future.
