  • Surely not a 5 star hotel

    This hotel has a very impressive entrance.
    We had been welcomed to a terribly designed room( sure a matter of taste)
    However for a more reasonable design we had to add 80 euros per night.
    The parking costs 20 euros ( 5 star?)
    The spa costs 20 euros ( 5 stars?) for sauna??
    The fitness room is a shame.. one bike, on running treadmill, and so hot and zero view.
    Breakfast addition of course.
    To sum up for me max 3.5 stars

    One advice : Do not book a hotel for its stars but for what it can bring to you (experience, happiness... ?).

  • Good Location, Friendly Staff

    Spent two nights at this lovely hotel. Room was very comfortable and the personnel were very friendly and helpful, especially Alicia, who escorted us to our room to make sure everything was all right. The tourist office is right next door and there are several cafes along the street. Wish we had time and thought about using the spa. It would have been a nice break in a very full itinerary.

    We enjoyed the hotel Jules Cesar ... The personnel was very helpful and friendly ... efficient for all our little trips around like Camargue or city tour in velo-cab .. The hotel decoration looks very original It was very clean and the spa was very pleasant and the services from Melanie there was great and very positive ... Back massage for my husband and facial for myself .... Just great ...!!!!

  • Terrible

    This is not a 5-star hotel. It is Art Deco on the cheap. No storage, delapitated armoires, no space in the bathroom, wooden stumps for night tables, and a general feeling of uncomfortable. Nothing like the pictures. Dining room staff was sparse and inattentive. Beds lumpy and uncomfortable and turn down service was a couple of chocolates on the bed and nothing else. The decorator was colour blind. I would not stay here.

  • Form over function

    Very disappointing. A triumph of form over function. Renovated by Christian Lacroix in 2014 this supposedly five star hotel is already looking very tired. Cutting edge design may be one thing but when it comes at the mercy of comfort, practicality and value for money, it is another.
    We checked in for a 40th birthday weekend to a classic double room for three nights at 207 Euros per night, 20 Euros per night parking and no breakfast. On the day, Booking.com was advertising a rate of 150 Euros per night including breakfast for the first night we were there.
    There is virtually no storage space in the room - no drawers and a very small and dilapidated armoir that was not deep enough to fit hanging clothes without them being side on. The bedside tables were just wooden logs on end. We requested a small chest of drawers or similar but were given a tatty old tea trolley on which to stack folded clothing.
    The bathroom was very small, which is of itself not such a bad thing, however in this one the size of the tub was minute, the shower hose was not long enough to reach the wall attachment from the mixer so I could stand underneath and with the tub being so narrow, the shower space was compromised and water went all over the floor. The toilet leaked, the seat did not fit the toilet and never had. Staff did attend to the toilet leak but the hotel did not have a longer shower hose.
    The staff were very god and tried to help.
